  • Paddle the Minnesota

    Enjoy a trip down the Minnesota River with your kayak or canoe!

    Easy access on the east bank of the river with your own equipment or rent a kayak or canoe at Falls Cafe and Canoe located on Prentice Street. Continue downstream through some exciting drops & rapids, or float from Wegdahl or Montevideo to Granite Falls. River access points are available on either stretch.

  • Fishing the Minnesota River

    Recent downstream dam removal has benefited the fishing from the banks of the river downtown and in Memorial Park.

    Bait can be purchased at Down on the Korner located at 1197 Granite Street.

    Over 63 species have been sampled during past surveys of the river. Channel catfish are abundant and their relative the flathead catfish is also found in good numbers. Northern pike, walleye, and smallmouth bass are also available to anglers. Walleye fishing can be excellent at times with trophy-sized individuals not uncommon. The Minnesota River also offers anglers a chance at sauger, usually only found in river systems. Link below to the DNR.

  • Kilowatt Community Center

    The City-owned Kilowatt Community Center (KCC) is a 36,578 ft. multi-purpose activity center that includes an indoor basketball, indoor pool, multi-purpose room, fitness room, indoor track, and pickle ball.

    Located at 600 Kilowatt Drive.

    The KCC also has numerous meeting rooms (one with a kitchen) available to rent for meetings, birthdays, parties, and events.

  • Granite Bowl

    Join a league or stop in for open bowling! Granite Bowl is a locally owned business that offers a bar & grill along with bowling fun!

    Located at 130 7th Avenue.

  • Granite Run Golf Course

    A scenic 9-hole course at the Granite Run Golf Course features 2,952 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36. The course rating is 34.3 and it has a slope rating of 122.

    It features a full service bar & restaurant with a patio overlooking the greens. Open to the public year round. Call in your food order for takeout too!

    Located a mile from town on old Hwy 67 (now Hwy 167) past Memorial Park.

  • Rice Park & Playground

    With Minnesotas first ADA Tower the new playground at Rice Park is fun for all kids.

    Rice park also has a little free library, picnic tables and shelter, disk golf, a skateboard park and walking trail all across the street from and overlooking the Minnesota River where you can go fishing!

  • River's Edge Disc Golf

    Play a 9 hole disc golf course right next to the scenic Minnesota River. Walk across the historic Roebling footbridge from downtown Granite Falls. An annual tournament is held during Squid Fest.

    Rent Disc’s at the Granite Falls Area Chamber of Commerce Office on Prentice Street.

  • Memorial Park Adventure Playground, Trails & Camping

    Enjoy the new adventure playground and expanded trails at Memorial Park. Also has a new park zip line!

    Camping is available as well as group camping and a new camper cabin!
